Terms and conditions for sauna booking at Vestfjordsauna

Membership payment terms

Memberships are available with monthly or annual billing and provide unlimited access to shared sessions for as long as the membership is active.

There is no binding period. You can cancel at any time via your profile or by contacting us. Upon cancellation, access continues until the end of the current paid period (month or year).

Important:

No refunds are issued for purchased memberships — not upon cancellation, non-use, or any other circumstance.

Memberships are personal and may not be transferred or used by anyone other than the purchaser. Misuse may result in suspension or termination of the membership without refund.

Monthly pass – Booking limits

Booking rule:

With a monthly pass you may book shared sessions once per day only.

This ensures fair access for all members and prevents abuse of the system.

If you wish to use the sauna more than once on the same day, you must purchase additional shared tickets or a private booking.

Maintenance and alternative sauna

If planned maintenance or unforeseen technical problems affect your local sauna, we will offer access to the nearest alternative sauna at no extra cost.

You will be notified of maintenance at least 48 hours in advance by email or SMS, and offered an alternative location or time slot.

Service guarantee:

We ensure you always have access to a sauna while your membership is active.

Membership misuse

The membership is only valid for the person who purchased or ordered it. It is not permitted to share the membership with other individuals or allow others to use it on your behalf.

Consequences of misuse:

If misuse is proven, the membership will be temporarily suspended until all unpaid guests have settled their balance.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Allowing others to use your membership
  • Sharing login credentials with others
  • Booking on behalf of others without payment
  • Circumventing booking restrictions

Repeated misuse may result in permanent termination of the membership without refund.

1. General terms

Vestfjordsauna is operated by Badstuegruppen AS (Org. no. 935 097 231). By booking a sauna experience with Vestfjordsauna, you accept our terms and conditions. It is your responsibility to familiarise yourself with these before booking.

3. Booking and payment

  • All bookings must be paid in advance to confirm the reservation.
  • Payment is made via Vipps or Stripe.
  • The amount is charged immediately upon booking.
  • Once payment is complete, you will receive a confirmation by email.

4. Delivery

A sauna booking constitutes a service delivered at the agreed time.

The customer receives confirmation immediately after booking.

Important:

Vestfjord Sauna is a place for calm, health and well-being. Use of the sauna for parties, loud music, or consumption of alcohol while intoxicated is not permitted. Violations of these guidelines may result in immediate removal without refund.

In the event of damage, littering, or other negligent use that incurs additional costs for the operator, the tenant will be held financially responsible. This may result in claims for damages or fees under Norwegian law.

5. Cancellation and refunds

  • Cancellations must be made at least 12 hours before the booked time to receive a full refund.
  • Cancellations made after this time are non-refundable.

6. Changing a booking

  • If you wish to change the time of your booking, this must be done at least 12 hours in advance.
  • Changes can only be made if there are available time slots.

7. Right of withdrawal

For purchases of services, a 14-day right of withdrawal normally applies. However, under section 22 of the Norwegian Right of Withdrawal Act, the right of withdrawal does not apply to services delivered at a specific time.

Sauna experiences are considered such a service, and the right of withdrawal therefore does not apply once a booking has been confirmed.

8. Use of the sauna

  • The sauna must be used in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Alcohol and intoxicants are not permitted.
  • Use a towel on the benches inside the sauna.
  • Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Vestfjordsauna is not liable for injuries that arise from negligent use.

9. Service defects – buyer's rights and complaints

  • If the service is not delivered as agreed, the customer has the right to claim compensation or a refund.
  • The complaint deadline is 14 days after the completed booking.
  • To submit a complaint, contact us at post@vestfjordsauna.no and provide your booking details.

10. Weather and operational downtime

  • In the event of extreme weather conditions or unforeseen technical problems, we reserve the right to cancel bookings.
  • If we cancel on our end, you will be offered a new time or a full refund.

11. Privacy

  • We only store the information necessary to process a booking.
  • Personal data is handled confidentially and is not shared with third parties.

12. Dispute resolution

  • In the event of a dispute, we follow the recommendations of the Norwegian Consumer Authority.
  • If the parties cannot reach an agreement, the matter may be referred to the Norwegian Consumer Authority or the Consumer Complaints Board.
  • Disputes shall be resolved under Norwegian law, and any legal disputes shall be decided in Norwegian courts.
